My Own Professional Health Services provide quality services in regards to device access which include but not limited to iPad, Laptop and tablet access, using your powered wheelchair, voice, touch and eye gaze to control your home environment, to communicate and various other range of environmental control and communication technology.
Assessment and Trial
At My Own Professional Health services, we have highly skilled therapists who would assess the person’s abilities and prescribe assistive technology. Assessments can be arranged at the person’s home, school or workplace, a suppliers venue or the head office at Blacktown. We have number assistive technology products, tablets with apps, and you can “Try for Free” for a limited duration. We do not charge customers for trial.
My Own Professional Health services is supporting students and therapists by providing assistance to research on emerging technology that enhances the lives of people with disabilities. For NDIS participants, you can buy these products through our website.
LAMP Words For Life is a text to speech communication app which uses multi-meaning icons. It also provides access to a keyboard for spelling. It is based on the Language Acquisition Through Motor Planning approach. It offers three vocabulary levels. This app was designed to meet the strengths and needs of people with autism.

PECS IV+ is an app for the iPad which helps transition learners who have mastered phases I through to IV of PECS to high tech AAC methods. It allows users to construct a multi picture sentence strip using sentence starters. It uses synthesised and/or digitised voice output. PECS IV+ allows users to construct a multi-picture Sentence Strip via a dedicated Sentence Starter page pulling from up to 20 digital PECS Book pages for the in-app voice to speak.

Proloquo2Go (App)
The Proloquo2Go is a communication app for people who have difficulty speaking, designed for use on the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Proloquo2Go has a library of over 14,000 symbols, two pre-programmed vocabulary organisations, spelling with word prediction and can be customised to suit individual needs.
Proloquo4Text is a text-based communication app for both iPhone and iPad that enables the user to produce spoken messages. It offers a customisable single screen layout for easy conversation, free natural-sounding voices in 15 languages, word and sentence prediction, social media sharing, and more.

AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication and it relates to all the tools and strategies that we use with people who have little or no speech.
AAC tools can be high tech options such as speech generating devices, low-tech options, such as symbol boards and communication books, as well as no-tech options such as Key Word Signing.
iPad is now becoming popular as AAC as well as a tool for online therapy session during this pandemic period.
